Sosharu & 7 Tales

Jason Atherton is back and has opened his new restaurant Sosharu (meaning 'social'), hot on the heals of Social Wine & Tapas last summer. This is also Atherton's first venture with 100% of his own backing. Sosharu is designed as an 'izakaya' - a Japanese pub that focuses on informal dining with Japanese style tapas. It also includes a small restaurant within a restaurant.

Of course, like Atherton's other restaurants it will feature '7 Tales', a strong stand-alone bar with Japanese inspired cocktails.

7 Tales will be headed by former Maverick Drinks portfolio ambassador Geoff Robinson, alongside Michele Mariotti (The American Bar, Savoy), Robyn Wilkie (MASH London & LCC) & Eduardo Arcesi (City Social).

And yes, being a Japanese inspired back expect to see a stunning selection of Japanese Whisky and Sake.

 

 

 

Turnmill's Rice Wine: Rice-washed Beefeater gin stirred with Cocchi Americano and topped with sesame oil. It's rice wash helps give this twist on the martini texture and a long finish.

 

 

Amarito: Cocchi Rosa, Campari, fresh grapefruit, lemon, egg white. Sprinkled with dehydrated raspberry dust.
